Thaksin's daughter to face AEC

A daughter of ousted prime minister Thaksin Shinawatra, Pinthongta, will appear before an Assets Examination Committee (AEC) sub-committee on Wednesday.
She will testify about the sale of shares in Shin Corp to Singapore's Temasek Holdings. Her elder brother, Panthongtae, told the sub-committee last Wednesday he had little knowledge of the deal because a secretary to his mother had handled details.
Political-astrology debate Academics and astrologers will debate the "astrology, politics and economy of Thailand in 2007" at the Rama Gardens Hotel in Bangkok. King Prajadhipok's Institute is hosting the debate. One of the guests is International Astrology president Pinyo Pongjareon.

They meet later to pick a leader, deputy and secretary before commencing work on a new constitution.
