Clever décor for condos

White and ivory are the best colours, and moveable furniture is recommended by one design expert
How to decorate a condominium to match your rushed city lifestyle is a prime concern for home-buyers. Wongsakorn Prasitvipat, director of the design and development department of Property Perfect, says white and ivory are the best colours for rooms because they easily match both antique and modern furniture. Moveable furniture is the best choice to decorate studio and one-bedroom condos because it is easy to change and doesn't take up too much space. Wongsakorn says furniture with a natural texture like wood and leather is more homey than plastic and stainless steel. For studio condos, home-owners can use partitions made of glass or cloth to separate the functions of living room and bedroom, keeping your life private when friends visit your condominium. For small bedrooms, a decor of bright colour and glass will make the room look larger. For living rooms, a unique décor can be bright colours like orange or red. White is suitable for bathrooms, giving a clean and warm feeling, but if you want something different from the usual, try blue, green and orange. Wongsakorn adds that the key to condo décor is using bright colours for rooms, with natural colours for furniture. "Condominiums have small space for decoration, so movable furniture is better than built-in, because owners can change furniture any time, depending on their feeling," he says.
