Prime Minister Surayud Chulanont last night met with Interior Minister Aree Wongsearaya and First Army Region commander Lt General Prayuth Jan-ocha at the Internal Security Operations Command headquarters following the bomb blasts in Bangkok.

No details of the meeting were available at press time.

Aree also called a video-conference meeting with provincial governors at about 11pm.

Bangkok Governor Apirak Kosayodhin ordered district offices to remove all garbage bins from the streets by 9pm last night.
