Tsunami could hit Philippines: Japan

TOKYO - The Japan Meteorological Agency warned Tuesday that a powerful earthquake off Taiwan could have triggered a one-meter high tsunami heading towards the Philippines.

Thai researchers will conduct whole genome scans on 3,000 blood specimens from tsunami survivors in a bid to determine whether there is any link between genes and Post Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD).



Postponement on Shinawatra's kids' testifying date urged

The lawyer representing children of ousted prime minister Thaksin Shinawatra has asked the Assets Examination Committee (AEC) to postpone the date for their testimony from Wednesday to next month.
