King's Cup in Pattaya, S Prakan

[POLO] The Thailand Polo King's Cup Tournament will be held at the Siam Polo Park in Pattaya and the VR Sport Park in Samut Prakan from January 21 to 28, with Indonesia and the Philippines confirming their participation for the fifth episode.
However, the draw is yet to be made as the Thailand Equestrian Polo Association (Tepa) is waiting for confirmation from two other teams. Singapore and Brunei are the other teams likely to enter. The annual meet will serve as a warm-up for the SEA Games, which will be held in Nakhon Ratchasima from December 1-15 next year. Meanwhile, the association last month sent Aiyawatt Raksriaksorn and Thanasorn Tangcharoen-sathien to Argentina to sharpen their skills with world champion Adolfo Cambiaso. The overseas training is in line with the association's preparations for the eight-day King's Cup meet and a selection trial for the SEA Games. During their three-week training, the duo participated in three competitions against elite teams in Argentina. Aiyawatt, Cambiaso and two other Argentines played under the King Power's banner in the 22-goal Copa Diamante Tournament at La Dofina, where they crashed out in the qualifying round. It was the same old story for Aiyawatt and few other Argentine players, failing to make the cut in the inaugural 15-goal Copa Zafiro Tournament. Aiyawatt's team, which included Thanasorn and two Argentines, did better in the third event, the 12-goal Magual Cup, in which they were second runners-up.
