IN BRIEF
oil industry

Shell introduces lubricant test kits

In a bid to demonstrate its leadership in the lubricant market and offer added value to consumers, Shell of Thailand recently introduced its latest innovation, the Shell Oil Vitality Indicator, the first motor-oil condition test kit available at its petrol stations in the Kingdom.

The Shell Oil Vitality Test (OVI) takes the guesswork out of knowing when to change engine oil, resulting in enhanced driving confidence and better engine protection.

"The Shell Oil Vitality Indicator, or Shell OVI, is an innovative device that checks the customer's engine oil condition with ease," said Pissawan Achanapornkul, Shell's general manager for the lubricant business in Southeast and North Asia.

In the initial stage, the service will be available at 100 petrol stations in Bangkok. Motorists can easily see signs indicating the Shell OVI service at Shell petrol stations where it is available. The service will be expanded to major provinces nationwide next year, said Pissawan.
