Two golds, 5 silvers

Thai students grabbed two gold and five silver medals at the third International Junior Science Olympiad.

This year's competition is in Brazil. It kicked of on December 1 and ends on Friday. It is open to students studying at the junior-secondary level.

According to Basic Education Commission acting secretary-gen-eral Khunying Kasama Varavarn, one of the gold medals was won in a team category and the second secured by Thipok Rak-amnu-aykij of the Srinakharinwirot University Pathum Wan demonstra-tion school.

The silver medallists were Jirayu Suthassanasuang and Nattawoot Jira-aram of Suankularb Wittayalai School, Thanat Chotijarumaneewong of Triam Udom Suksa Pattanakarn School, Nonthawit Cheevaruangroj of Samsen Wittayalai School, and Apinya Siranart of Saint Joseph Convent School.
