Durain Typhoon will bring rain to upper south

Typhoon "Durian" will bring heavy rain to Prachuab Khiri Khan, Chomporn, Surat Thani and Nakhon Sri Thammarat on Wednesday and Thursday, warned the Meteorological Department.
The department said the typhoon in the South China Sea has weakened to become tropical storm and was centred 450 kilometres northeast of Vietnam's Ho Chi Minh City with maximum wind speeds of about 110 km/hr. It is moving westsouthwest at about 15 km/hr. The storm is expected to cause rain fall over Vietnam coast by tonight, and will strengthen the high pressure area from China covering upper Thailand, bringing a cold mass of air into the area with a temperature drop of two to five degrees Celsius. Rough to very rough seas are expected in the Gulf of Thailand and shipping should proceed with caution during December 47. The Nation
