Domodedovo grows 10 per cent

Domodedovo International Airport is maintaining its leading position among Moscow area airports in terms of passenger traffic.

Overall throughput at Domodedovo in the first 10 months of 2006 reached 13,069,000 passengers, a 9.4-per-cent increase over the same period of 2005.

The highest growth was recorded to destinations such as Bangkok, Sochi, Rostov-on-Don, Volgograd, London, St Petersburg, Samara, Larnaka, Istanbul and Irkutsk. Domodedovo handled over 1,728,000 passengers on these routes, a rise of 40 per cent.

Passenger traffic in October amounted to 1,304,000 passengers, an increase of 5.9 per cent compared with October 2005.

In 2006, Domodedovo gained a number of new partners, including international airlines such as Singapore Airlines, Wind Jet, dba, Royal Jordanian Airlines, bmi and others.

Passenger throughput on international routes in January-October 2006 reached 7,283,000 passengers, a 7.3-per-cent increase.

Passenger traffic on domestic routes for the first 10 months of 2006 reached 5,786,000, a 12.2-per-cent rise. - The Nation.

Condo JV in Bt2.2-bn project

Charn Issara Development has joined with Nawarat Patanakarn to launch a new Bangkok property project worth Bt2.2 billion called The Issara Lad Phrao.

The project will be operated by a joint venture firm between Charn Issara Development and Nawarat Patanakarn called CIN Estate.

The project's condominiums are priced starting at Bt2.2 million per unit. The company will start construction next year and expects presales of up to 50 per cent after opening at the end of this year, said Charn Issara Development's managing director Songkran Issara. - The Nation.
