ML Kwanthip Devakula, a food columnist, is the guest chef at Shangri-La Hotel's Salathip Thai restaurant from tomorrow to December 3.
She will reveal her secret techniques and unique recipes for local specialities that have been passed down from generation to generation. Recommended dishes are phra ram long song (boiled Chinese water spinach and beef or pork with peanut sauce) and gaeng nua prik kee nu (beef in fresh chilli pepper curry). Colourful Colonnade Tomorrow night, Colonnade and Zuk Bar at the Sukhothai Hotel will be transformed into a gallery with a display of works by three artists that can be admired along with fine food and superb cocktails created by executive chef Nam Nguyen.
