Bt40m campaign for lustrous sales

SSUP Bangkok 1991 yesterday launched its "Cute Press Lustrous" advertising campaign to help the company achieve its sales target of Bt963 million.
The Bt40-million campaign is aimed at achieving 8-per-cent sales growth over the previous year. Products that will be promoted under the campaign are Fairness Cake Sun Protection SPF 15, Moisture Balance Compact Powder and Corrective Concealer. Apart from the attempt to achieve its sales target, the campaign was also launched to help boost sales in provinces affected by the recent flooding, including Ayutthaya and Sing Buri. SSUP director Vichien Kulvaraporn said yesterday some of its dealers and Cute Press shops in the central region had to remain closed for a period during the floods, particularly early last month. However, he is confident the overall performance of the company will not be affected. The company has achieved its targets during the first three quarters of the year, with sales of Bt700 million. So far, it has launched three campaigns, for Jet Set 3-in-1 mascara, Cute Press UV Expert and Cute Press Sweet Expert. The company has already spent Bt110 million to boost sales, of which 75 per cent was used for television advertising and the rest for arranging marketing activities. Currently, SSUP has 200,000 members, of whom 140,000 are consumers and the rest independent sales representatives, said Vichien. The company continues to lay emphasis on building brand awareness and expanding marketing channels next year. In the pipeline are 30 more Cute Press direct-sales shops, particularly in the Northeast and South - where its presence has been limited - to add to the current 120 shops nationwide. Next year, the company plants to allocate 15 per cent of expected sales as its marketing budget. Of its total annual sales, the makeup line comprises 50 per cent, skincare sales 25 per cent and personal-care products the rest.
