Otop scope widened Industry Minister Kosit Panpiemras yesterday expanded the scope of the One Tambon One Product (Otop) scheme. Instead of just one product per tambon, Otop could be many products from one community and a product from one operator, he said. The new policy will focus on producing what is demanded by the market. The private sector will have more say in developing projects while the government will become a facilitator. Otop operators should adjust their management and produce more value-added goods that match customer needs, he added. - The Nation.
