Deposed premier has no political plan : Noppadon

Deposed premier Thaksin Shinawatra has no political plans and is travelling in Asia because he was ill prepared for the severe winter in London, his legal adviser Noppadon Pattama said Thursday.
Noppadon also dismissed press reports that Thaksin would head for Singapore after ending his holiday in Bali, saying his client's next destination would be either Hong Kong or mainland China."Thaksin is enjoying his stay in Bali and wants to ensure authorities that he is not planning any political activities at the moment," Noppadon said in reference to his telephone conversation with his client on Tuesday. Authorities should not try to make an issue out of Thaksin's Asian tour, he said. "Thaksin will definitely not go to Vietnam while the Apec meeting is in progress this weekend," he said, denying rumours that his client was trying to arrange a secret meeting with Prime Minister Surayud Chulanont. He also stated that his client had no concerns over the court battle that can lead to the dissolution of the Thai Rak Thai Party and would allow due process to run its course. "If and when Thaksin decides to come back to Thailand, he will do so openly with a fanfare arrival at Suvarnabhumi Airport," he said, predicting that his client would overcome the political predicament.
