True posts record new phone subscribers

True posted a record 1.4 million added mobile-phone subscribers in the third quarter, lifting its total number to 6.8 million and market share to 18.8 per cent, said CEO and president Supachai Chearavanont.
He added that this growth reflected the company's ability to offer better value for money in its mobile services. Following its growth in new subscribers, the company reported its consolidated service revenues rose 4.7 per cent to Bt12.6 billion in the third quarter. The company also reported service revenues of Bt37.6 billion in the first nine months of the year, up 20.8 per cent from the same period last year. Bangkok Airways to fly to HCM City Bangkok Airways will be the second Thai carrier to fly to Vietnam early next year, under a code-share agreement signed with Ho Chi Minh City-based Pacific Airlines, the Vietnam News Agency reported. Pacific Airlines managing director Luong Hoai Nam said the Thai carrier's aircraft would be used for the seven weekly flights between Ho Chi Minh City and Bangkok to be launched next March. The two airlines previously intended to launch the Ho Chi Minh City-Bangkok service this month, but a shortage of aircraft delayed the plan. Meanwhile, Thai Airways International has added more weekly round trips on the route, bringing the total to 16. The new services began on Tuesday. - The Nation.
Diamond tile sales up 25 per cent in Q3 Diamond Roofing Tiles announced total sales of Bt606 million in the third quarter, up 25 per cent year on year. Board chairman Prakit Pradipasen said sales showed strong growth after the company expanded its export market to China, Taiwan, Vietnam, Laos and Cambodia. Although domestic demand for roofing tiles posted slight growth, this did not affect the company's business, because of export expansion since the first half of this year.
