Most people hope to see improvement in politics

Most people expect an improvement in Thai politics in the next few months, a survey has found.

More than 62 per cent of the respondents saw an improvement in politics, compared to 24 per cent who expected no change and 10 per cent who believed things would be better in the next few months, according to results of the Suan Dusit Poll released yesterday.

The survey by the Suan Dusit Rajabhat University was conducted on 4,191 people around country between November 5 and yesterday.

When asked to compare the deposed government of Thaksin Shinawatra and the current administration, 37 per cent of those surveyed said there had been an improvement in politics.

Almost 21 per cent of the respondents said they saw no change while almost 10 per cent said things had got worse.

Another 32 per cent of those surveyed said they had no opinion on the matter.
