Tamarine into final in China

[TENNIS] Thailand's Tamarine Tanasugarn made it into her second straight final after defeating long-time rival Iroda Tulyaganova of Uzbekistan 6-4 6-1 in the semi-final of the US$50,000 (Bt1.8 million) Chinese Women's Circuit tournament in Shanghai yesterday.
The second-seeded Thai, who also reached the final of the Bangkok Open last month, had some revenge on Tulyaganova, who defeated her in two sets in the Tashkent Open two months ago. Tamarine, who has not won a tournament this year, will play another local player, Akul Amanmuradova, who knocked out third-seeded Vasilisa Bardina of Russia in the other semi-final. Tamarine has an edge on Amanmuradova after defeating her the two times they have played in the past. She beat the 258th ranked Amanmuradova 6-4 4-6 6-4 in Hyderabad in 2005 and in September's Tashkent Open with a 6-4 7-5 win.
