Samut Sakhon's housing fair

The Real Estate Developers Association of Samut Sakhon will introduce more than 2,000 homes at the upcoming Second Land and House Fair in the province.
The fair will be held between November 17-19 at Ekkachai Hospital. President Suchart Panyasakorn said the association had decided to hold the fair in the final quarter due to the appearance of a clearer political picture. He believes prospective home-buyers should be more confident with the new government. As a result, enthusiasm to purchase property should return to the market. The association has spent about Bt2 million on the fair and expects sales at the three-day event to reach close to Bt500 million, the amount generated at last year's fair. Suchart said association members would offer promotions such as special interest rates, discount prices and free home decoration at the event. The property market in Samut Sakhon has shown strong growth as new industries moved to the province, especially those related to fishing. Demand for new housing in Samut Sakhon in recent years has recorded an average of 4,000 units, with a value of about Bt12 billion. Suchart said the fair was a way to boost residential sales in the province after most potential home-buyers had delayed their decision to buy in the first nine months of the year due to political uncertainty.
