Discussion deferred

Bliss-Tel's plan to acquire International Engineering's mobile-phone retail firm, IEC Mobile, will not be considered by an extraordinary meeting of its shareholders on November 15.
"The company must submit relevant information about a connected transaction to shareholders at least 14 days prior to a meeting. However, the independent financial adviser needs to study a lot of information very carefully, in order to prepare an opinion regarding the transaction, so the company is unable to submit related documents to shareholders on schedule," Bliss-Tel said yesterday. It did not say when the acquisition plan would be put to shareholders. However, the company will be asked at the November 15 meeting to consider its recapitalisation and its allocation of new shares. Earlier, Bliss-Tel announced plans to raise registered capital from Bt299 million to Bt800 million by floating 501 million shares.
