Woman hospitalised after being set on fire by drunk husband A woman was admitted to hospital yesterday morning after allegedly being set on fire by her drunken husband, police said.
Thanasorn Jindawong, 30, fled beaten and burning to a Phra Khanong neighbour who rushed her to hospital at 4am.She suffered minor burns. The neighbour told police she initially thought Thanasorn was a burglar. Police said they visited the woman's home and found the husband burning documents. - The Nation. -------------------------------------------------------- SUPHAN BURI: Three injured in fireworks blast An explosion at a Suphan Buri fireworks factory has left three worker injured, one of whom is in critical condition. Nearby homes and three vehicles were destroyed in the explosion yesterday morning. Police said they believe the blast was caused by a spark igniting powder and were continuing their investigation. - The Nation. -------------------------------------------------------- RATTANAKOSIN ERA: Historic remains found at park site Bangkok may put on hold plans to build a new park after early Rattanakosin-era building remains were unearthed at the site, a source said. The Bangkok Metropolitan Administration (BMA) was building a new park at the Ta-Tien pier, site of the old Internal Trade Department, which is BMA and Crown Property Bureau land. The source said experts believed the remains were from the early Rattanakosin period - or the late 1700s. The BMA may turn the site over to the Fine Arts Department. - The Nation.
