PDA phone prepared for high-speed connection

The Dopod 838 Pro is a PDA phone which is ready for the next high-speed wireless connection.
The phone, which runs on Windows Mobile 5.0, comes with HSDPA (High-Speed Downlink Packet Access), and is 3G ready. With its slide-out QWERTY keypad, the PDA phone can be used to access and edit Word, Excel and PowerPoint documents and browse the Web using Internet Explorer. Best of all, you can use MSN Messenger and Hotmail, check your personal e-mail via Direct Push Technology and Exchange 2003 SP2, and even access your calendar, contacts, tasks and inbox over the air. It also comes with a high-resolution two-megapixel CMOS sensor so the PDA can double as a digital camera. All its multimedia and business features are handled by a fast 400MHz Samsung processor. Apart from being quadband GSM, the Dopod 838 Pro comes with all the wireless connection features - HSDPA, 3G (UMTS or Universal Mobile Telecommunications System), EDGE, infrared, Bluetooth and Wi-Fi. The HSDPA is touted as 3.5G. However, even 3G technology is not yet implemented in Thailand. Its applications are stored on its 128 megabyte ROM and it is equipped with 64 MB RAM. The memory can be expanded by a Micro SD card. The PDA phone supports Bluetooth Stereo technology so you can use Bluetooth stereo headphones to enjoy the phone as the ultimate digital music and video player. The player has a good battery life of 200 hours on standby and around four hours of talk time, but it is quite bulky and heavy. It is distributed in Thailand by SIS Distribution (Thailand) for Bt32,900.
