NCCC to put asset claims on display

Asset declarations by deposed premier Thaksin Shinawatra and his 32 ministers will be available for public viewing from November 14 to 28, a senior official from the anti-graft agency said yesterday.
The information would be on display at the National Counter Corruption Commission (NCCC) office on the 30th floor of Thanapoom Tower, Phetchaburi Road, NCCC secretary-general Sarawut Menasawet said. The former Cabinet members' asset declarations include those held by spouses and minor children. They were filed with the NCCC last Thursday, one month after the coup. The NCCC yesterday scheduled the public disclosure of the documents in accordance with the anti-graft law. It said that members of the National Legislative Assembly and the Assets Examination panel were obliged to file financial statements also.
