The briefing will tentatively take place at the beginning of November, Jakkrit said. He was speaking after attending meeting of Defence Council chaired by Defence Minister Gen Boonrawd Somthat on Thursday.
The council assigned the ministry to organise the briefing to update the foreign military attachés and US' officials from Joint US Military Advisory Group on the developments of security and political situations in the country.
"We want them to have understandings on the situation and what and how the government is performing," the spokesman said.
It would be the first briefing of the country for the foreign military representatives since the army seized power from Prime Minister Thaksin Shinawatra in September.
Two main topics were the security situation in the country since the new government was appointed until now as well as the security policies of the government and the defence ministry, he said.
