PM to Vietnam on Thursday

Greater bilateral investment and preventing avian influenza will top the agenda when Prime Minister Surayud Chulanont meets the Vietnamese premier Thursday.
Surayud had recently visited Laos, Cambodia, Malaysia, Indonesia and the Philippines since he was appointed as the prime minister on October 1. Surayud and his counterpart Nguyen Tan Dung will hold a joint cabinet meeting to discuss increasing bilateral trade and investment to US$5 billion (Bt192 billion). The two will also discuss further cooperation in public health and peopletopeople relations. The prime minister will also meet Vietnamese President Nguyen Minh Triet and the SecretaryGeneral of the Communist Party, Nong Duc Manh. The two countries celebrated the 30th anniversary of bilateral relations on August 6 this year.
