Corruption issues

Ousted prime minister Thaksin Shinawatra is among seven former Cabinet members who have yet to submit their assets declaration to the National Counter Corruption Commission, its chairman Panthep Klanarongran said yesterday.

He said if Thaksin did not meet the deadline in submitting the declaration, which is today, the NCCC would give him 15 days to explain his reasons if he intentionally refused to comply with the law.

He said the anti-graft agency would meet tomorrow to decide whether members of National Legislative Assembly, Constitution Court judges and the Assets Examination Committee must also declare their assets.
