Administration Centre (SBPAC) that was dissolved in mid 2001 by the former Prime Minister Thaksin Shinawatra.
CNS's chairman General Sonthi Boonyaratglin said the new body will be a civilianled agency and will be called the Southern Boarder Province Development Centre.
The centre will fall under the Interior Ministry and will have the mandate to look peace, reconciliation and development in the Yala, Pattani, Narathiwat, Satun and four districts of Songkhla.
