Media figures cautioned

The Campaign for Popular Media Reform yesterday cautioned media figures who have been invited to join the National Legislative Assembly that their professionalism could be corrupted by serving in the body.

Secretary-general Supinya Klangnarong said the assembly had been formed through power acquired in a military coup, so it could be regarded as an arm of the executive branch. Some reporters are said to be seeking signatures to petition colleagues joining the assembly to resign.
