In Brief :TAT honours the King

The Taekwondo Association of Thailand (TAT) yesterday presented His Majesty the King with a replica of a Korean king's crown to commemorate the 60th anniversary of His Majesty's accession to the throne this year.
The TAT executive board members led by secretary-general Pimol Srivakorn presented His Majesty with the golden crown through His Majesty's principal private secretary Asa Sarasin. The TAT received the crown, the only one made from pure gold, from Chungwon Choue, president of the World Taekwondo Federation (WTF), when Thailand hosted the WTF World Cup Taekwondo Team Championships in September. The WTF presented it in appreciation of His Majesty the King's hard work. "Mr Choue said His Majesty is a King who cares about his people and visits people all across the country to bring happiness into their lives," said Pimol. "People around the world appreciate His Majesty's kindness. It was, therefore, a great honour for the WTF to present the gift."
