National Legislative Assembly appointed

His Majesty the King issued a royal command to appoint the 242-member National Legislative Assembly Thursday morning.
The assembly includes 17 representatives form permanent officials, who hold ranks equal to C-11, 12 representatives of judicial officials and public prosecutors, 35 military officials, seven police officers, eight representatives from the state enterprise employees, six representatives of bankers, 19 representatives of trade, service, transport, construction and real estate businesses, and 11 representatives of general businesses.
There are also seven representatives of lawyers, four representatives of political parties, 11 academics from the fields of philosophy, religion, arts and culture, and 20 representatives of the media, entertainers, artists and writers as well as 43 retired civil servants.
Prominent figures appointed to the assembly included Chai-anan Samudvanijaya, Chamlong Srimuang, Purachai Piumsombun, Prasong Soonsiri, Wissanu krea-ngarm and Meechai Ruchuphan.
The four representatives of political parties in the assembly are Surin pitsuwan of the Democrat Party, Akkarapol Sorasuchart of the Mahachon Party, Pinij Jarusombat, who is former Thai Rak Thai Party member, and Kanchana Silapa-archa of the Chat Thai Party.
Among the C-11 civil servants are Krit Kanchanakulchorn, Khunying Kasama Worawan na Ayutthaya, Jakkramon Phasukwanit, Prat Boonyawongwiroj, Pitipong Puengboon na Ayutthaya, Pachara Yutithamdamrong, Rongpol Charoenphan, Waipoj Srinual andn Ampol Kittiampol.
The representatives of the judicial officials and public prosecutors include Kitti Limchaikij and Thossaporn Sirisamphan.
Among the military officers appointed to the assembly are Adm Bannawit Kengrian, Lt gen Phajun Tamprateep, Gen Raden Puengphak, and Gen Ongkorn Thongprasom.
The seven police officers appointed to the assembly are Pol Gen Prateep Tanprasert, Pol Lt Gen Manote Sattrulee, and Pol Lt Gen Adul Saengsingkaew.
Representatives of state enterprises include Chuanpit Chaimuanwong and Apinan Soommanaserani.
The representatives of bankers include Khunying Jada Wattanasiritham and Chasiri Sophonphanich.
Narong Chokwattana, Watchara Phannachet, Virabongsa Ramangura, Sutthitam Jirathiwat are representatives of trade, service, transport, construction and real estate businesses.
The representatives of general businesses include Narongchai Akkaraserani.
Meechai, a former Senate speaker who is tipped to become president of the interim legislature, was appointed on the quota of seven lawyers and legal advisors. Other representatives of this group include Praphan Khoomee, who played an active role in campaigning against the Thaksin government.
The 11 academics include Damrong Sumalsak, Waeduramae Mamingji and Sathienpong Wannapok.
Kamhaeng Paritanont, Sombat Methani, Nitiphume Navarat, and Surang Prempree are among representatives of the mass media, artists and writers.
The representatives of retired civil servants include Jaral Kullavanich and Prasong.
Borwornsak Uwanno and Wissanu were appointed on the quota of local development experts.
