In Brief :Farm wins TAT award

Farm Chokchai at Nakhon Ratchasima has won the Thailand Tourism Award 2006 - or Kinnaree Award - for excellence in agricultural tourism from the Tourism Authority of Thailand.
It is the second time the dairy farm-cum-tourist attraction has won the Kinaree Award, which is presented every two years for sustainable tourism development and conservation. Farm Chokchai Group managing director Choak Bulakul said the farm received about 30,000 agro tourists per year.
Developer airs plans City Centre Group, owner and operator of City Centre Pratunam, plans to invest several billion baht to expand its property business, including hotels and residential projects, in the next three years, according to the group's president, Manit Aeuthaweekul. The first project is this year's opening of the four-star Manee Narakorn hotel in Chiang Mai, in which the group has invested about Bt300 million. Next year, it will launch the Dragon City Land condominium on Phetburi Road, again costing Bt300 million, and in 2008 the group will spend nearly Bt1 billion to develop the "China City Centre" shopping complex at Pinklao.
