TV anchor may be new spokesman

Channel 5 personality and the former deputy spokesperson of the Council for Democratic Reform (CDR) Yongyuth Mayalarp visited Government House yesterday to discuss a new appointment.

Yongyuth was reportedly approached to be spokesman for the Office of the Prime Minister. He said yesterday he had been invited to help out with public relations for the PM's Office. He said a final decision would be made soon.

Yongyuth visited General Pongthep Thesprateep yesterday morning before attending the offices of the spokesman for the Prime Minister's Office.

Yongyuth is a graduate from the Royal London Hospital Medical College in the United Kingdom.

He has been a news anchor for Channel 5 for several years and hosted several medical-related television programmes.
