Airport revenue plan

CAT Telecom Plc expects annual revenues of about Bt120 million from its businesses at Suvarnabhumi Airport, its senior executive vice president has said.
During the opening of a CAT shop at the new airport yesterday, Sompol Chantaprasert said the state agency had invested around Bt100 million in four shops and telecom infrastructure at Suvarnabhumi. The shops will sell international calling cards and Internet access cards, while the infrastructure will provide leased lines and wireless Internet access. Sompol added that he expected CAT's business ventures at the new airport to take a few years to break even due to the high cost of leasing the shops. CAT's wireless Internet service at Suvarnabhumi is currently only available in the King Power duty-free store. The agency is in talks with Airports of Thailand to expand its service to cover the whole airport. TOT Plc is the main telecom service provider at the airport, followed by CAT and True Corp Plc.
