Thai expatriate goes multi-level

More than two decades ago, Sakchai Wanchaijiraboon, then a young man, left Bangkok for Sydney to earn more money.

From an unskilled worker to the owner of a Thai restaurant in Queensland he recently entered the multi-level marketing (MLM) business as the sole distributor for Nature's Care products in Thailand.

With long experience in Australia, he had been looking for an opportunity to create business between the two countries. After considering various products, he decided to approach Sydney-based Nature's Care and got the licence to sell Nature's Care products under the banner of Starlux Global Co Ltd.

"I have never done MLM business before, but I do believe that if the company is honest with salespersons and consumers, besides offering good quality products, this business will continue to grow," said Sakchai.

Starlux Global officially launched its business early this month with a goal to get 7,000 distributors by next year and generate Bt70 million in sales revenue.

There are more than 100 products available, such as anti-wrinkle and anti-ageing creams, hydrants, bio-nano moisturisers, whitening products as well as mother's care and baby products.

Sakchai said the company had created a network for marketing and giving commissions, with other MLM companies in Thailand. The distributors will get commissions every week by easily checking their account on the website.

Nature's Care was founded in 1990 with a dream to use Australia's natural and unpolluted resources to help develop its products. "All our ingredients are derived from natural, organic or marine sources, including pure placenta, Vitamin C, Vitamin E, collagen, grape seed, lanolin, camomile, aloe vera, seaweed extract and wheat protein.

The products are free from chemical fragrance, hazardous chemical materials and artificial colours.

Nature's Care is fully compliant with the requirements of Australian current good manufacturing practices and European as well as US standards.

All the products are manufactured and packed under an orderly and hygienic environment.

Nature's Care has distributors in China, Taiwan, Hong Kong, Japan, and Korea.

Sakchai said Starlux Global also planned to open MLM business in Australia to sell Thai products.

There are a variety of One Tambon One Product items which have potential there.
