FRIDAY BUG
Hidden talent emerges

Although Bank of Thailand (BOT) assistant governor Krirk Vanikkul's "Pang Pond" cartoons failed to sell out during an exhibition at BOT headquarters last week, Krirk consoled himself with the idea that his talent could become recognised after another eight years, when he retires.

He said drawing without lifting the pencil off the board was difficult and that only those possessing an artistic flair could tell whether a drawing was good or bad. He grinned when asked whether he himself lifted his hand while drawing a "Pang Pond" cartoon and replied that new artists needed time before becoming famous.

A time shortage seems like BOT policy, doesn't it? We only know what effect the central bank has on our lives after a policy is implemented.
