Krung Kavee luxury homes

While detached-housing projects are mushrooming along Rangsit-Nakhon Nayok Road in Bangkok, the soon-to-be launched Villa de Krung Kavee will provide the first luxury homes in the area.

After making a success of its exclusive Krung Kavee Golf Course over the last 12 years, Krung Kavee Co Ltd is now developing an upmarket housing project within the course to serve affluent families.

In the initial phase, there will be only 36 units on 12 rai with prices ranging from Bt18.5 million to Bt44 million. Three types of homes - Manop Villa, Dusit Villa and Suparurk Villa - are being built on plots of 100 to 400 square wah with functional areas of 482, 592 and 717 square metres, respectively.

Show houses will be finished for visitors at the end of this month, with the project due to be completed in the next nine to 10 months.

Krung Kavee chairman Kanok Vienravee said market research indicated there was strong potential for high-end houses because of a growing industrial estate, business districts, a new government centre on Chaeng Wattana Road, Thammasat University and an international school.

"The villa project has careful landscaping, giving a sense of privacy and seclusion for each home, and is surrounded by almost 800 rai of beautiful greenery. We are also in a good location offering convenient access to Vibhavadi-Rangsit Road and the Outer Ring Road to Suvarnabhumi Airport," said Kanok.

Kanok, a lecturer at Chulalongkorn University's department of landscape architecture, created the project with unique architecture, interior design and even lighting design, as well as landscaping each villa.

Manop and Dusit Villas will offer four bedrooms and five bathrooms, while Suparurk Villa will have five bedrooms with six bathrooms and one pavilion (sala).

"We expect to get a good response because we serve a niche market with no competitors at present," said Kanok.

According to the plan, there will be 170-180 units, while each phase will be developed as a small community to create a private and tranquil environment for dwellers. Each project will also embrace different concepts.

Krung Kavee also has ambitious plans to develop low-rise and high-rise condominiums, an office building, first-class hotel and a nursery kindergarten on the site.

Despite the rapid growth of residential and business communities in the area, Krung Kavee will not rush to complete the whole project in a short time. It expects to complete all the phases in the next 15 years with a total investment cost of about Bt50 billion.
