Microsoft Thailand has announced its direction for the 2007 financial year - a focus on four business areas to achieve growth of 27 per cent.

Andrew McBean, managing director of Microsoft Thailand, said that the firm this year will focus its business and direction on customer value, responsible leadership, and economic and social-impact projects.

The firm will also continue with new launches over the next 12 months such as Vista, Exchange Server 2007, the 2007 Office system and Office Live.

The firm plans to set up the Microsoft Unlimited Potential programme though five Community Technology Learning Centres by utilising information technology to help the quality of life in various communities. It plans this year to provide IT training courses to over 20,000 teachers nationwide where 29,000 teachers have already received training from Microsoft this year.

The company will also focus on three main customers - government with its long-term projects, state enterprises, and end users.
