iTV report deadline missed

The conclusion to an investigation into iTV's contract violation will be submitted to the government later than the August 28 deadline pending a recalculation of the broadcaster's Bt76-billion fine from two government agencies, PM's Office Ministry permanent secretary Peeraphan Prempooti said yesterday.

The head investigator did not say when the Council of State and the Office of the Attorney-General would recalculate the fine and send the result to him. "It's likely we will miss the deadline and may need another 30 days for the results," he said.

Peeraphan said that no more witness testimony would be needed to investigate the matter. He said the last witness, whom he refused to identify, gave his testimony yesterday morning.
