Central presents Kiwi delicacies

A bountiful array of food and products from the rugged country and green pastures of New Zealand is now on offer at the New Tastes, New Thinking, New Zealand food promotion at 16 Central outlets.

From now until Tuesday, customers are invited to experience new tastes and new ideas from New Zealand.

They can choose from a delicious range of the freshest imported products, from gourmet meats, fresh produce and seafood to kiwi fruit from the fertile plains of New Zealand's lush pastures.

"This latest promotion of products from New Zealand is especially exciting as it gives us the chance to bring more variety to our customers while ensuring the highest quality at reasonable prices. It also gives customers the chance to explore new tastes and new ideas for preparing food," says Ian Pye, president of Central Food Retail Co, Ltd.

New Zealand's Ambassador to Thailand, HE Brook Barrington, recently presided over the launch of the festival at Central Chidlom and commented on the benefits of raising awareness of the produce his country has to offer.

"New Zealand is well known the world over for its abundance of natural food products and the outstanding freshness of its meat, poultry, fruit and vegetables.

"This promotion will be a great opportunity for people to experience the benefits of natural and nutritious products that are exported under strict quality control measures," said Barrington.

"New Zealand offers a great deal of diversity in the range of locally made products for export and I'd like to thank Central Food Retail Group for making many of these products available and giving people the chance to appreciate the superior quality of produce exported from New Zealand, where stringent standards are set by the New Zealand Food Safety Authority," he added.

New Tastes, New Zealand, New Thinking runs until August 29 at Central Food Hall, Tops Market, Tops Super, Marketplace by Tops and selected Tops supermarkets.
