Gunmen shoot dead 74-year-old man in Yala

Peace activists and students gather at Prince of Songkhla University’s Pattani campus yesterday to condemn Israel’s air strikes on Lebanon and the continuing violence in their own region in the far South.
A 74-year-old man was killed in a drive-by shooting while riding a bicycle yesterday morning in Yala's Muang district.

Police said two gunmen on a motorbike approached Tuan Intarat from behind and fired two shots at him with a .38 pistol before speeding away. Muslim insurgents were blamed for the attack.
