'Harmony' in Bangkok
The capital's latest slogan - Bangkok: Harmony of Life - and its new logo will be unveiled tonight at a press conference at Siam Paragon.
The launch, which will reportedly cost the Bangkok Metropolitan Administration Bt1.5 million, will explain the meaning of the logo - an image of a flower with four petals in different colours and exhibiting Thai essence, Deputy Bangkok Governor Buddhipongse Punakanta said yesterday. Each petal represents one facet of the way of life of the capital's residents - high quality of life, good environment, culture and tourism, and the economy.The event, scheduled for 4.30pm, will be held in Paragon Hall 1 with some 1,600 people including politicians and celebrities invited. The name Bangkok along with the flower logo can be used in promotional campaigns of the private sector for special occasions, such as the Bangkok Grand Sale, Buddhipongse said. The Nation
