Chef William Girard of V9 at Sofitel Silom tempts diners with dishes loaded with fresh, vitamin-packed herbs.
On the menu are river prawns, eggplant and vegetables jelly flavoured with lemon balm, roasted rabbit with coriander, mashed carrots, beans and peas, coconut emulsion, and fresh goat cheese marinated with thyme, rosemary, garlic and olive oil. Pizza degustation To meet the demands of its customers, the Dusit Resort Pattaya's The Bay Il Ristorante Italiano is extending its Pizza Degustation promotion until the end of the month. Among the recommended dishes are chef Giuseppe Zanotti's Italian pizzas with various toppings representing an array of Italian regional fare. For example, try pizza margherita and pizza with Parma ham and rocket and Parmesan shavings from northern Italy, four-cheese pizza and pizza with wild mushrooms and truffles from central Italy, or pepperoni pizza and spicy seafood pizza from southern Italy. San Francisco treats Throughout August, chef Kevin of the Banyan Tree Hotel's Pier 59 will be preparing a menu of delectable seafood cuisine from the San Francisco Bay area. Having spent his formative years in San Francisco, he has created a degustation menu paired with famed wines from Sonoma and Napa Valley. The meals are offered in the chic surroundings of the Banyan Tree, Bangkok's newest dining venue, Pier 59. Asian tapas Executive chef Dietmar prepares delectable Asian tapas for all gourmets at the Diplomat Bar of the Conrad Hotel from today until the end of August. On the menu are green onion cakes with lemon dipping sauce, soft shell crab with pitare chilli sauce, pappadam curried oyster, hot and sour tofu packages, barbecued pork and papaya rolls, spicy shrimp onigiri, Korean-style spiced salmon with crispy noodles, roast duck pancakes with pea sprouts and plum chilli marmalade, and grilled prawns with pandan leaves and basil vinaigrette. Available in the lunch buffet are goi cuon (fresh rice paper spring rolls), goi buoi (pork, shrimp, pomelo and sesame salad), ca kho to (fillet of sea bass simmered in chilli, ginger and caramel sauce), dau phu sate (stir-fried tofu with satay sauce) and goi du du (green papaya, prawn and chicken salad).
