Promotions aplenty are being offered for Mother's Day at fine restaurants around Bangkok

There are  opportunities galore at Bangkok restaurants this Mother's Day to repay mum for all the meals she's cooked for you over the years. At D'Sens, the Dusit Thani Hotel's French restaurant, for every group of four, mum dines for free and receives a gift. Chef Philippe has designed a delightful four-course meal at the restaurant, available from August 12 to 17.

Also at the Dusit Thani, Hamilton's Steakhouse is preparing crabcakes, black cod fish fillet and key lime pie from August 11 to 19.

Or if you want to pick up something special and enjoy it at home, visit Dusit Gourmet, where blueberry cheesecake, sacher cake and the classic chocolate cake are on offer.

Swissotel Le Concorde is offering a Mother's Day promotion from tomorrow to August 13 - a family of

four with mother included dines for the price of just three meals.

At Le Concord Deli, the bakers are creating delicious blueberry cheesecake in a heart-shape which you can buy for mom at Bt400 per pound. All mothers dining at the hotel will receive a gift.

The Landmark Hotel is also offering promotions in its several restaurants. At Sui Sian Chinese restaurant and the Atrium restaurant on August 12, mothers are being presented with a box of chocolates and jasmine garland. Diners also get a chance to win prizes including dining vouchers for suckling pig and Peking duck.

This weekend, the Atrium offers the Mother's Weekend Brunch and Dinner for Bt1,500 per person.

Another possible destination is the Conrad Hotel, where the chefs will be creating special Chinese, international, Japanese and Italian meals on Saturday and Sunday.

Liu Chinese restaurant is offering free chocolate pralines alongside its set meals. Groups of six or more that book their meal ahead won't need to order desert as a complimentary chocolate-mousse cake will arrive at the table.

Italianate restaurant is treating mums with various multi-course feasts, with prices that range from Bt1,305 to Bt1,950.

There's also a sumptuous buffet awaiting diners in Drink Tea Eating Rice Japanese restaurant.

At the Royal Princess Larn Luang Hotel, free desserts, cocktails, garlands and cakes are being offered from August 12 to 18. Mothers dining at any hotel outlet get a jasmine garland. Groups of seven or more receive a one-pound vanilla cake. The hotel's different restaurants are cooking up various specials for the occasion and have various gifts for mum.

The Tawana Ramada Hotel is also celebrating the occasion at Bon Vivant, with 25-per-cent discounts for groups of four or more, plus Thai massage vouchers at Devadee for groups of five or more. Devadee's international buffet lunch offers a selection of superbly prepared specialities from cuisines around the world as well as carved beef, pork or lamb. The price is Bt600 per person.

For dinner, Devadee puts on a spectacular seafood extravaganza featuring a grilled seafood platter, hot pot of vermicelli and prawns, fried crab with curry powder, steamed prawns a la minute, steamed fillet of snow fish with soy sauce, steamed mussels, Chinese style fried oysters, grilled scallops and a lot more, for Bt1,000 per person.
