ICT Expo 2006 a resounding success

The Information and Communications Technology (ICT) Ministry said its Bangkok International ICT Expo 2006 saw 400,000 visitors, including 5,000 foreign businessmen, and took in Bt1.4 billion in revenues.
The expo was held from August 2-6 at Muang Thong Thani's Impact Exhibition Hall. The ministry will host it again next year, from August 1-5, at the same venue.
Radisson gets loans The Radisson Hotel Group announced it received Bt600 million worth of loans from TMB Bank to fund the group's Green Ninth condominium complex on Rama IX Road. The group has set a target date of October 2007 for completion of the first phase of construction, which will include four units of eight-level condominium buildings consisting of 782 residential units in all. The second phase of construction, which will include another four condo buildings for another 768 residential units, will be finished in June 2008.
Win gold with Ovaltine AB Food & Beverages Co Ltd, manufacturer of Ovaltine, is set to increase the drink's local share of the Bt4-billion malt-extract beverage market to 75 per cent this year, from 70 per cent currently, with an aggressive campaign to promote its new product, Ovaltine High Nine. With a Bt30-million budget, the "Win Bt9 Million with Nine Values in Ovaltine High Nine" campaign kicks off today and runs to October 25, allowing customers to win Bt9 million worth of gold.
Property Choice auctionsAsset-management unit Property Choice will host a series of auctions for properties in Min Buri from August 22, in conjunction with the Legal Execution Department, Global Thai Property Mutual Fund and Palarp Asset Management Co. Kasig Sriswasdi, marketing director for Capital Advisory Services (Thailand) Co Ltd, the operator of Property Choice, said the auctions would unload more than 27 items in Min Buri with a combined appraised value of more than Bt30 million. Property items up for auction include single-detached houses, town houses, condominiums, suites, commercial buildings and vacant lots.
