10km run on Aug 12

The NCC Mini-marathon and Aerobics Chalerm Phrakiart will take place on Saturday August 12 to commemorate the 74th birthday of HM the Queen.
The event, hosted by NCC Management and Development Co, will start in front of the Queen Sirikit National Convention Centre at 6.30am. Last runners in the 10km run are expected to cross the finish line around 8.30am. The event will be divided into three categories - a 5km walk-run, 10km run and 74-minute standing aerobics dance. The main purpose of the event is to raise funds for HM the Queen's charities. Four trophies will be given to both male and female winners in the 10km race. All participants will receive a memorial coin and tank top, plus an aerobics VCD. "The number of participants will be greater than last year. I'm hoping that more than 4,000 runners from all over the country including some foreigners will participate in this competition," said Wanida Dullalumpa, chairperson of the organising committee at yesterday's press conference.
