Ratch reports Bt1.45-bn profit

Ratchaburi Electricity Generating Holding Plc yesterday announced a net profit of Bt1.45 billion in the second
quarter of this year, down by Bt396 million or 21 per cent from its net profit of Bt1.85 billion in the same period last year.
The company's consolidated total revenue for the quarter was Bt12.96 billion: Bt12.59 billion from electricity sales, Bt132 million from interest income, Bt220 million from profit-sharing in associated and joint-venture companies, and Bt17 million from other income. Ratchaburi's net profit for the first half of 2006 was Bt3.39 billion, an earning per share of Bt2.34, which was Bt611 million or 15 per cent lower than its net profit of Bt4 billion in the same period last year, managing director Narong Sitasuwan said.
New office shops Office Centre will launch two more office supply shops in Bangkok and upcountry by the end of the year after opening its 20th branch in the capital this week. Managing director Supornsri Naktanasukanja said yesterday that its new outlet in Pantip Plaza Ngarmwongwan had cost Bt20 million. The company expects its sales to rise by 20 per cent to Bt1.68 billion this year from Bt1.4 billion last year.
Boathouse condo The Boathouse Hua Hin is to expand with the addition of a Bt600-million condominium. The project offers a new option for investors interested in buying a unit for rental, by guaranteeing a return of 6 per cent in the first years, managing director Praphaisith Tankeyura said yesterday. The building will have 180 residential units comprising 80 units of 48 square metres, 60 units of 64 sqm and 40 units of other sizes.
Giffarine sales up Sales of skincare and nutrition products were up 12 per cent to more than Bt1.5 billion in the first half of this year at Giffarine Skyline Unity Co Ltd. The direct-sales company now expects its sales to grow 10 per cent to Bt3 billion for the whole year, its president Dr Nalinee Paiboon said yesterday.
