TOURISM :TAT launches website to promote the Kingdom to high-end travellers

The Tourism Authority of Thailand (TAT) has launched a new website for luxury travellers as part of its effort to tap the high end of the tourism market.

The site, www.thailandwonders.com, was designed by the Santa Monica, California-based agency Ocean Group. The website includes a currency converter and a "trip assistant", a mini search engine that allows users to select vacation packages by entering a location, activity or cost.

FURNITURE : Index Living Mall aims for sales of Bt6 billion

Furniture-chain Index Living Mall has launched a new marketing plan it calls the "enjoy customer strategy" as part of its drive to boost sales by 10 per cent from last year to Bt6 billion this year.

The strategy has four joys, the company said. These are price joy, quality joy, design joy and service joy. Under the price-joy concept, Index will do away with sales promotions and sell goods at one constant price year round, managing director Kijja Pattamasathayasonthi said yesterday.
