Jetstar specials to Oz

Jetstar is introducing a direct service to Australia with special launch fares from Bt910 one way.
The low-cost carrier, part of the Qantas Group, will initially serve six international destinations from Australia, including Bangkok and Phuket, starting on November 23. The airline will operate a fleet of Airbus A330-200 aircraft configured with 303 seats in two classes of service - including StarClass, Jetstar's premium cabin - before starting to transition to new-generation Boeing 787 Dreamliners in August 2008. Bookings are being taken at the revamped Jetstar.com website with all-inclusive, one-way Web fares starting at Bt910 for Phuket-Sydney and Bt1,000 for Bangkok-Melbourne. "We lead the low-fare market in Australia, a positioning we hope to now lead with our flights to Thailand encouraging more people to travel more often," David Koczkar, general manager of pricing and offline channels, said. Bangkok and Phuket are two of the most popular tourism destinations in Asia for Australians.
