Disabled in spotlight

[ATHLETICS] More than 400 disabled athletes have a chance to test themselves when the inaugural Pattaya International Disabled Sports Invitation tournament is held at the Pattaya Indoor Stadium from August 15-20.
The six-day meet has attracted athletes from seven countries - Iran, Japan, Laos, Malaysia, Singa-pore, Vietnam and Thailand - to compete in four sports - basketball, tennis, table tennis and fencing. "It is a good opportunity for disabled Thai athletes to enhance their skills against world-class competitors and also test their readiness before the Fespic Games," said Gen O-Sot Pavilai, president of Thailand Association for Persons with Disabilities.
