Democrats : Party to hold policy meetings

The Democrat Party will meet with groups representing various sectors of society to exchange ideas and formulate policies, party leader Abhisit Vejjajiva told a gathering of former party MPs on Wednesday.

Abhisit said the meeting would also be attended by business leaders and academics.

NCCC : Complaints against 7 candidates

Seven of the 19 candidates for the National Counter Corruption Commission have been accused of numerous offences, such as bullying subordinates and corruption, it was disclosed yesterday.

Caretaker Senator Wallop Tangkananurak, secretary to the Senate committee verifying candidates' qualifications, said the accused candidates would be asked to respond to the complaints to the panel checking their backgrounds.
