Water machines selling well

Good Drinks Co Ltd, a local manufacturer of water vending machines, said its revenue had doubled since the launch two months ago of a new model featuring technology that stops the growth of bacteria and moss.
The company has sold more than 100 machines worth Bt7 million since its introduction, double what was expected, according to Viroj Rueksiriwan, managing director. Half of the models were distributed in Bangkok with the remainder going to the provinces. The dentistry centre at Thammasat University Hospital, Suan Dusit Rajabhat University and convenience stores were among the buyers. Good Drinks yesterday announced the launch of another new model - the F-600 - which features a special locking system to stop theft. It is priced at Bt4.9 million. Viroj said that people like the convenience of having vending machines close to their homes and that the cost of water from them is lower than water bought in bottles.
