O-Net exams to be held in late February

The National Institute of Education Testing Service (Niets) decided yesterday to hold the O-Net exam on February 24 and 25 next year.
This means the O-Net (Ordinary National Educational Test) will take place around the same time of the year it was held for the 2005 academic year.Higher Education Commission secretary-general Pavich Thongroj, who was named acting Niets chairman, announced the decision. Earlier, there was speculation that the O-Net might be held sooner to allow time for a smooth university-admission process. University admissions were greatly disrupted this year because Niets was unable to announce accurate O-Net and A-Net scores on time. It is still unclear which agency will conduct the A-Net (Advanced National Educational Test) exam next year. The Nation
